• WOW Carwash to celebrate one-year anniversary of Las Vegas site: WOW Carwash will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its location near Sunset Park at 2210 E. Warm Springs Rd. in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. Known for its premium, eco-friendly carwashes, WOW Carwash will offer all guests who come to the Warm Springs Road location this Saturday (7 a.m. to 9 p.m.) a free WOW MAX car wash. Read more here.

• El Car Wash is hosting a block-style grand opening party on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for its newest location at 11674 University Blvd. in Orlando, Florida (near University of Central Florida). The event will include live music, complimentary treats from local businesses, giveaways (including a chance at a year of unlimited washes), free washes for new customers and special membership promotions.

• Registration is now open for this year’s Northeast Regional Carwash Convention, which will be held Oct. 6-8 at the Atlanta City (New Jersey) Convention Center. This year’s convention delivers a larger platform for professionals to take part in education, innovation and networking. • A plan to build a gas station, car wash and convenience store on the north end of Wooster, Ohio, moved a step closer to construction following preliminary approval by the city planning commission. Northstar Planning & Design, on behalf of Campbell Oil Co., submitted an application for conditional use approval for a 16-pump gas station with a 5,000-square-foot convenience store and a 2,100-square-foot automatic car wash.

• CARSTAR car wash supports Cystic Fibrosis Canada: CARSTAR Hamilton’s Rymal branch recently hosted its annual Soaps It Up Car Wash in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. With cars lining up, grills fired up, and families turning out in full force, the event raised $1,800 for the cause. With the help of local teens, first responders, and even the Hamilton Tiger Cats’ mascot, Stripes, the event brought the community together for a fun day of car washing, BBQ, face painting, and door prizes. Police cruisers, fire trucks, and even a few Corvettes joined the lineup, while families enjoyed grilled burgers, hot dogs, and cold drinks.
