In response to tariffs, Triumph Car Wash Parts opens first U.S. distribution center
Triumph Car Wash Parts has followed through on its commitment to help its customers traverse the volatile U.S.-Canada tariff situation with the opening of its first distribution center in the United States.
In January, around the time of the inauguration of U.S. president Donald Trump, the company based in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, said it was preparing for the possibility of Trump’s tariff increases and their potential effect on the cost of imported car wash parts and materials.
In response to the recent tariff policy changes announced by Trump, Triumph has opened a new distribution facility in Niagara Falls, New York, which it believes will allow the company to streamline operations, reduce shipping times, and minimize costs typically associated with international import fees.

Delhi considers banning car wash detergents to reduce river pollution: The Delhi government in India is preparing to impose a ban on soaps and detergents used in car washes to reduce pollution in the Yamuna River. The government claims the products contain harmful phosphates and surfactants that enter stormwater drains, contributing to toxic foam. Authorities believe this step is crucial in their efforts to clean the river, which has suffered from years of unchecked contamination. The government plans to launch an awareness campaign before implementing the ban, educating citizens on the environmental impact. As an alternative, the government is considering setting up car wash centers near sewage treatment plants (STPs), which use treated wastewater to clean vehicles.
