• Community hosts car wash for 9-year-old with liver cancer: According to a report in the Long Island Press, neighbors in the town of Port Washington, New York, recently organized a community-wide car wash fundraiser to support 9-year-old Logan Coyle, who is battling Stage IV metastatic liver cancer. The event brought together dozens of families who washed cars, sold drinks and baked goods, and donated to the Children’s Organ Transplant Association. Read more here.

• Construction is underway for a second location of Bubble’s Foam Farm Car Wash, which will be located at N101 Highway 83 in Delafield, Wisconsin. The new car wash is being built on a site of a former Hardee’s restaurant, which was recently torn down. The Foam Farm is an eco-friendly car wash that uses 75 percent reclaimed water and biodegradable products to reduce environmental impact. The first Bubble’s Foam Farm is located in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. The sites are known for their “barn” design, with the new location about 25 feet longer than the original.

• Marcus & Millichap recently announced it was facilitating the sale of Marty’s Express Car Wash, an express car wash property located in Lexington, South Carolina. The listing includes the sale of the business and underlying real estate. Marcus & Millichap is a leading firm specializing in commercial real estate sales, financing, research and advisory services. It has the largest team of investment specialists in the industry to meet the needs of private and major investors throughout the United States and Canada.

• Drivers warned Colwood car wash construction could cause delays: According to a report in the Victoria News, as work continues on what will be Canada’s longest express car wash tunnel, drivers can expect delays. The developer of the new Speedwash site, located at 2357 Sooke Rd. in Colwood, British Columbia, is also constructing road improvements near the site. The work, which is expected to take place up until July 14, includes curb, sidewalk, bike lane, street lighting, center median, boulevard landscaping and paving. Drivers have been advised to avoid the area or expect delays with a single travel lane in each direction.
