• ZIPS Car Wash unveils three more renovated sites in Virginia: ZIPS Car Wash is celebrating upgrades across three sites in Lynchburg and Roanoke, Virginia. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled Thursday (Sept. 4) at the Lynchburg site with the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance Ambassadors. The site is at 3805 Wards Rd. On Friday (Sept. 5), ZIPS shifts its focus to the Blue Ridge Region to celebrate renovated stores in Roanoke at 4035 Challenger Ave. and 2121 Dale Ave. with free car washes all day. Read more here.

• Crystal Car Wash at 901 S. Harlem Ave. in Forest Park, Illinois, was looking to expand for the second time in three years. It seems that’s not going to happen, for now. Crystal Car Wash’s addition of vacuum stalls to the lot just north of it was the only agenda item for the May and June Planning and Zoning Commission meetings. But the PZC meetings were cancelled after the car wash’s owner, Neil Rembos, withdrew his request for the meetings. Rembos made a similar request for expansion in 2021.

• After Club Car Wash opened its first Grand Junction, Colorado, location in late May, it didn’t take long to bring its second location online. Club Car Wash opened at 2122 North Ave. in mid-August. The North Avenue site features high-quality wash packages, unlimited-wash memberships, powerful vacuums and free microfiber towels. To celebrate the opening, Club Car Wash is offering for a limited time its top-tier wash, the $25 MVP, for $1, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting CASA of Mesa County, a local nonprofit that advocates on behalf of children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

• Tommy’s Express, the fastest-growing car wash brand in the nation, is celebrating the opening of its newest location in Allendale, Michigan, at 5380 Lake Michigan Dr. To mark the occasion, guests are invited to enjoy a free car wash through Friday (Sept. 5).
