Rising Tide Car Wash receives OK to open fourth South Florida location

Rising Tide Car Wash, a family-owned car with a primary mission to employ adults with autism, recently received approval to build its fourth South Florida location.

During a recent special exception hearing, the City of Pompano Beach Zoning Board of Appeals gave unanimous approval to the company’s plans to open its newest location on a 1.2-acre lot at 2851 W. Atlantic Blvd.

The company hopes to open the site in either the fourth quarter of 2026 or first quarter of 2027.

  • President Trump concedes immigration crackdown is hurting businesses, including car washes: President Donald Trump this week admitted that the recent crackdown on illegal immigration across the United States by Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents has hurt businesses, including the car wash industry. In a social media post on Thursday, Trump conceded his administration’s “very aggressive policy on immigration” is hurting farms and hospitality businesses.   • All Cobblestone Auto Spa locations are accepting donations as part of a special fundraising event to support the family of fallen Apache Junction (Arizona) Police Officer, Gabriel Facio. The donations will go to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Memorial Fund and directly to support Officer Facio’s family. Facio, 46, was shot after responding to reports of a driver brandishing a firearm on June 2. Founded in 1997, Cobblestone has 50 Arizona and 41 Colorado locations.

  • The newest Surf Thru Express Car Wash is now open in Pasco, Washington. The 6,000-square-foot facility is the California-based company’s third in the Tri-Cities area. Built for $7.5 million, the tunnel was built with state-of-the-art equipment and utilizes recycled and reverse osmosis-purified water. Amenities include 24 free vacuums, air blasters and complimentary towel service. DFE Architecture of Spokane designed the facility; Chervenell Construction was the general contractor.

  • Registration is now open for this year’s Northeast Regional Carwash Convention, which will be held Oct. 6-8 at the Atlanta City (New Jersey) Convention Center. This year’s convention delivers a larger platform for professionals to take part in education, innovation and networking.
