Sonny’s, Fiserv combine to offer new enhanced payment processing options

Sonny’s Enterprises, a global leader in conveyorized car wash parts, recently announced the integration of payment processing capabilities from Fiserv, Inc., a leading global financial services technology provider.

With the addition of the ISV Partner Program from Fiserv, Sonny’s plans to offer tailored, high-performance merchant payment processing solutions specifically designed for the car wash industry.

Sonny’s believes the new options will enable car wash operators to achieve secure, efficient, and cost-effective transaction management.

“We are committed to equipping car wash operators with superior tools for their business success,” said stated Curt Hutchins, CEO of Sonny’s Enterprises.

  • Helping out injured high school QB: Big Peach Car Wash in Bremen, Georgia, recently hosted a successful fundraiser for a local high school athlete who suffered a serious spinal cord injury in a football game earlier this year. Carson Kimball, an 18-year-old quarterback for Bremen High School, underwent surgery in early September to replace a crushed C6 vertebra. The fundraiser on Dec. 21 saw more than 500 cars visit the site and more than $5,000 was raised. Read more here.

  • Express Wash Concepts announced its continued expansion with the grand opening of its 34th Central Ohio Moo Moo Express Car Wash location in Columbus, Ohio. Express Wash operates more than 100 express wash locations across Detroit, Toledo, Daytona, Columbus, Hampton Roads, Va., and Pittsburgh. An additional 35 EWC locations are scheduled to open through 2025.

  • The Henrico Fire Marshal is investigating a Dec. 16 morning fire at the Splash In car wash on East Parham Road in Henrico County, Virginia. Firefighters were called to the car wash at about 10:06 a.m. ET and marked the fire under control about 50 minutes later. No one was hurt but the facility suffered significant damage.

  • Water Works Express in Kyle, Texas, raised more than $5,000 in cash donations and toys for local children and families in need as part of its annual Blue Santa Toy Drive, which benefits the Kyle Law Enforcement Association’s Blue Santa Program.

  • McClean Solutions LLC’s Take-A-Towel invention - a disposable alternative to cloth drying towels - received the “Most Innovative New Product” award during the recent ROADMAP show hosted in Austin, Texas, by the International Carwash Association.

  • ‘Out of this world’ car wash in England: A car wash facility in the city of York in Yorkshire, England, damaged by fire has reopened and rebranded as Planet Wash. The site has a space theme and includes new wash technology from a Croatian company called Adriateh. The system uses hot water in the jet wash lances and brushes. The soft wash brush is made from Scandinavian hogs’ hair, which doesn’t hold particles and prevents scratching of the car. There are self-service bays and an automatic tunnel. Read more here.

The Anderson brothers invented the first fully automatic car wash in Seattle, Washington, in 1951. This car wash used machines to do all of the work, including pulling the cars through the tunnel and soaping, scrubbing, rinsing, and drying the vehicles.
