Splash Car Wash acquires two more sites in New York

Splash Car Wash, headquartered in Milford, Connecticut, recently announced the acquisition of two Auto Wash locations in Geneva and Batavia, New York.

The acquisition brings Splash’s location total to 45 in New York State and 71 total sites in four states – Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

  • Developers proposing a car wash in North Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania, will have to dig up some records for the project to progress. The township planning commission reviewed a proposal for Kornfeind Car Wash, slated for 2228 Old Post Road. Backers already received a special exception letting the project move into land development, but planners want evidence of a supposed deal with an adjoining property prior to a zoning hearing board meeting. The commercially zoned property currently houses the Kornfeind Market and has seen approval for other projects in the past.

  • Big League Car Wash opened its fourth location at 17969 I-35 N. in Schertz, Texas, on June 17. The locally owned car wash has three additional locations around New Braunfels, while a fifth is being planned in Cibolo. Big League Car Wash offers a membership service for unlimited and custom cleanings. Options range from a standard wash to a ‘Grand Slam Experience’ that includes full body protectant, seal wax, wheel washing and more. Amenities include free vacuums and interior cleaning.

  • Tesco applies to open car wash station in Risca supermarket car park: Tesco has applied to install a car washing station in its Extra supermarket car park in Risca, a town in Monmouthshire, Wales, in the United Kingdom. The firm has applied to Caerphilly County Borough Council requesting planning permission for a new jetwash to the store’s northeast. The station would be surrounded by 1.8-metre screens, and services there would include self-service jet washers, air and screen wash, and vacuum cleaners. “The facility is in line with Tesco culture to offer their customers a range of services that provide their day-to-day needs,” the firm said in a statement submitted to the council.
