• Why bubbles matter in your car wash: Is a soapier wash that covers your car with foamy bubbles a better one? Often times, yes. South Africa Today recently did an interesting article diving into the science behind a bubbly car wash and how those bubbles cam chemically bring about a cleaner car. As the article says, “These bubbles are not just decorative. They are micro-laboratories of cleaning action.” Among the benefits: Bubbles help suspend dirt particles in the foam, preventing them from re-depositing onto the car’s surface during the cleaning process. And, believe it or not, bubbles can have a psychological effect on the customer. Read more here.

• Sgt. Clean Car Wash recently celebrated the grand opening of its newest interior cleaning facility in Green, Ohio. As part of the celebration, there was a ribbon cutting event and Sgt. Clean provided $1,000 donations to both the Green Moms Group and the City of Green Leadership Class. This facility emphasizes efficiency, service, and raising the bar in customer experience.

• Quick Jet Car Wash recently opened its second location in Sevier County (Tennessee) with a new location in Sevierville, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce. The new location is 714 Windfield Dunn Pkwy. The location offers several technological improvements over the original location, including the offer of graphene and ceramic coating, and a polisher pro at the end of the tunnel.

• Spark Car Wash is now open on Route 59 in West Nyack, New York. The Goldstein Group brokered the sale of the property to Spark in the past and they recently renovated the former car wash at the site.

• Maase Inc. to acquire stake in Chinese EV charging and car wash firms: Maase Inc., a Chinese financial technology company that provides services in insurance, claims adjusting and wealth management, has signed a non-binding framework agreement to acquire 100 percent equity of Qingdao Youdian New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and 49 percent equity of Qingdao Huijulaixi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025. LaiXi, established in 2021, develops intelligent unmanned systems. The company has developed patented low-temperature car wash technology that operates at temperatures as low as -13°C without freezing.
