• Tidal Wave Auto Spa opens a pair of new car wash locations: Tidal Wave Auto Spa, one of the country’s fastest-growing express car wash companies, is celebrating the grand opening of a pair of new locations. The sites are at 12901 Deertrace Avenue, in Orlando, Florida, and 1075 Sky View Lane, in Delaware, Ohio. Both locations are offering free premium car washes through Wednesday (April 9). Additionally, any new customer that joins a Tidal Wave Clean Club unlimited wash membership through Wednesday will receive their first month of unlimited washes for only $9.97. Read more here.

• Prestige Car Wash confirmed a recent report in the Worcester (Massachusetts) Business Journal with an announcement it has acquired five Ernie’s Car Wash locations in the Worcester area. Prestige Car Wash currently operates 23 locations statewide with the addition of Ernie’s and is on track to have 34 locations open by the end of the year. “The acquisition of Ernie’s Car Wash locations aligns with our growth goals and allows us to serve our customers in new, convenient areas,” said Tony DeBarros, director of operations at Prestige Car Wash.

• A new Watershed Carwash may soon be coming to a location on North Bryant Boulevard in San Angelo, California. The city’s March permits and inspections report has a facility called “WCW San Angelo II Carwash” listed in the Commercial Projects Pending section. The project has an expected cost of $4 million, as per the report. The location remains vacant, but a sign there indicates the future home of a Watershed Carwash location. Watershed has locations in Texas, Oklahoma and Arizona.

• The newest location for Soapy Noble Car Wash recently opened in New London, Connecticut. The new site at 442-454 Colman Street replaces an outdated mix of buildings and is now a streamlined, state-of-the-art car wash with improved parking, circulation, and vacuum areas. Solli Engineering of Monroe, Conn., provided surveying, site design, permitting, and geotechnical support from start to finish – including site plan approval from the New London Planning & Zoning Commission.

• Winnersh car wash owner fined £26,000 for fire safety issues: A car wash and cafe site manager in Winnersh, a village in the United Kingdom, has been ordered to pay more than £26,000 after he admitted to several fire safety breaches dating back to 2023 inspection. The Royal Berkshire Fire Authority found a lack of fire detection and firefighting equipment at the Hand Car Wash and Valeting Centre and an inadequate means of escape in an emergency. Owner Artan Hyseni of Welwyn Garden City admitted to the breaches at Reading Magistrates' Court in February and was told to pay £26,441.35 on March 26. Read more here.
