WEEKEND ROUNDUP
A look back at this week’s top stories:
👉Sustainability is likely the future of the car wash industry
In many industries, the move to more environmentally friendly policies can be prompted by a genuine concern to “be a good neighbor” or because governmental entities enact policies encouraging them – or a mixture of both. The same can be said in the car wash industry but in recent years, eco-friendly policies have become just as important for owners in maintaining a profitable business. Read more here.
👉Tidal Wave Auto Spa goes Wild with shutout promotion
Tidal Wave Auto Spa, one of the fastest-growing express car wash companies, is wasting no time taking advantage of its partnership with the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild. As part of a new partnership, Tidal Wave will activate special in-game and on-site promotions during Wild games this season. Read more here.
👉Savvy consumers continue to drive car wash demand
A smart consumer who knows what they want remains the driving force in the continued growth in the car wash industry. It’s no secret the subscription model – in which the customer pays a monthly fee to wash their car an unlimited amount of time – has been a key to gaining new customers as well as the industry’s expansion. The change has altered the ‘old school’ dynamic of waiting for increased demand following bouts of bad weather (and thus dirtied cars) to one where the customer finds it economical and convenient enough to wash their cars on a regular basis. Read more here.
👉Car wash customers find much ‘Clarity’ at Tagg-N-Go Wash
Customers at Tagg-N-Go Wash in Rexburg, Idaho, are getting a firsthand look at the latest integration of AI (automated intelligence) into the car wash industry. AMP Memberships, which provides software solutions that enhance operational efficiencies and customer engagement for car wash operators, has launched its “Clarity System” at the Idaho location. Read more here.
👉Spotless Brands completes major acquisitions in expansion
Despite indications of slowing growth in the car wash industry, Spotless Brands continues to defy the trend with its latest expansion. The company recently announced the acquisition of Bluebird Express Car Wash and Epic Shine Car Wash, adding 15 operating locations to its portfolio. This acquisition represents Spotless Brands’ first foray into the Pacific Northwest, with new locations in Idaho and Oregon. Read more here.
