ZIPS Car Wash this week partnered with several local chambers of commerce to unveil upgraded locations across Lexington, Kentucky – with more to come.

On Wednesday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Commerce Lexington was held and free car washes were offered at three upgraded sites in Lexington – 2320 Grey Lag Way, 440 New Circle Rd.​ and 2576 Richmond Rd​.

  • Steady growth continues into Q2 for Mister Car Wash: Mister Car Wash, the largest car wash chain in the U.S., announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2025, which continue to show growth for the car wash operator. Among the highlights for the quarter ending June 30 was a 4 percent increase in net revenues, driven by the success of its Unlimited Wash Club membership model, which saw a 5 percent gain. In addition, comparable store sales were up 1.2 percent, and the company opened four new greenfield locations. Read more here.

  • Drive & Shine, a car wash company with businesses in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan, has announced its expansion into Lima, Ohio, with a new location at 3355 Elida Rd. to open next month. Drive & Shine was established in 1997 and has grown to include 25 locations. Its new Lima site is designed to process 120 cars per hour with its state-of-the-art cleaning system.

  • A new Super Star Car Wash could soon be coming to Goodyear, Arizona. The city recently held a neighborhood meeting to allow local residents to weigh in. The meeting was part of the city’s required public process to review a request for a use permit. The proposal, submitted by Madison Leake, on behalf of the property owner, seeks permission to develop the car wash on a 1.26-acre site zoned for Planned Area Development, with underlying General Commercial uses.

  • A new car wash is coming to 1516 N. Wenatchee Ave., Wenatchee, Washington. Demolition began this week on the building that formerly housed Ay Caramba to make way for a new $4 million, 4,769-square-foot car wash (including storage) with vacuum and pay station canopies, according to city of Wenatchee documents.

  • Car wash development plans move forward in Qualicum Beach: A development permit was recently approved for a car wash with a detailing shop and vehicle storage at 127 and 131 Fern Rd. in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, Canada. The permit is subject to a number of revisions. Those revisions, recommended by the Advisory Planning Commission, include the removal of the Fern Rd. East exit, replacing off-street parking spaces in front of the building along Fern Road with a sidewalk, and some additional landscaping. The development permit application was approved unanimously, with a building permit still required prior to the start of construction.
